What a “valve kit” means
A valve kit (sometimes called a rebuild kit) typically includes internal components for a control valve: o-rings, flappers/discs, seat assemblies, maybe springs, cam, etc. For example, the website listing includes “Rebuild Kit for Autotrol 255 Valve Body”.
It’s used when the valve body has worn parts (disc seals leaking, O-rings perished, etc) and you want to restore operation without replacing the entire valve.
It’s important that the kit matches the valve model/series of your system. Many kits are specific: e.g., “Valve Disk Kit; 255” is listed in a parts catalogue.
